Married Again

Saturday was awesome! Mind you I was a nervous wreck which seemed odd since it's not like Das and I just got together but still it signified yet another era in our relationship. I had planned to wear the necklace his mother gave me but decided that there was no day more fitting to wear my collar than the day we got married, again.

His parents showed up early because good grief I've only seen them late once in the last two years and it shocked us so much we thought something had happened to them. One of the students from my RCIA class showed up unexpectedly and it was good because she was our official photographer.  Due to the angle she shit the ceremony from I have now seen my booty way more than I ever had before. The first I thing I thought at seeing the pictures was I am quite cute, the second was I am also rather round, and the third was my butt is huge. Then I went back to being cute, lol.

Das vetoed my green dress, he liked it but not as well as the cinnamon coloured one. He thought it was more subtle therefore more fitting for Lent.  As no ide that it was going to be a full mass with multiple readings and a hominly and a lot of prayers all before the vows. It made me pretty happy though because I didn't feel shortchanged of the catholic wedding experience.

Our friends Mike and Jo were our witnesses which seemed fitting since they were the first people we connected with upon getting to Canada.

Our priest was highly amusing, he has a dry sense of humour and smoothed over my areas of confusion like not knowing certain responses. I did notice he sprinkled more holy water on my ring than Das' so I'm wondering if he thinks I need extra blessings. To me the funniest moment was trying to put on Das' ring. Under the best of circumstances I can't tell left from right and given my high levels of excitement and giddiness I ended up just looking at his hands in a panic. He very smoothly extended the proper hand and wiggled his ring finger so crisis was averted. I'm pretty sure I didn't stop grinning until yesterday.

His parents took us to brunch at some fancy lakeside restaurant where I had the best waffle known to mankind and way too much wine and champagne. It was fun. I think I'm still a bit tipsy but that might be relief after getting my first confession done last night.
