Weekend musings
We were talking about God and stuff this afternoon while I was outside storing up on vitamins D and drying my freshly dyed/washed hair. For some reason the thought came to me that the whole communion of saints can be understood by thinking of God as a manager who delegates. While I wasn't being flippant it was kinda funny.? I've got a backlog of lost items people are praying about, would you get on that Anthony...
It makes me laugh when I think of the ways we as folks find ways to conceptualize things that by their nature are inconceptualizable, not sure that's a word but whatever, it is now.
We went to the Saturday evening mass and jackpot, very few children. They don't get to me the way they do Das but if he's aggravated he can't enjoy the service so we've been searching for a workaround. It was a nice service. The person who spoke the homily has a very thick west indies accent so I'm really not sure about all he said but that's what I like about mass, I can read the readings and recite the prayers and simple think, if I don't quite catch the homily no worries, lol. The other upside to going Saturday is the great laziness of sunday. :) i don't think we ever got out the house sunday except to bask in the sun in the back yard.
About that basking, it was never even 70 degrees yesterday and i was all out in a skimpy sundress. I swear the sun here is strong, when there is sun and no wind it feels way warmer than it factually is.
In other news I dyed my hair this morning. It was supposed to be a bright red but I didn't leave it on long enough, however I did manage to get the grey to a nice deep red so it's all good. I also decided to take a photo trip down memory lane and realized how much my hair has grown in the last year. At this rate it'll be waist length again before I know it. At least now I know where to go to get it layered. So much lighter this way. Not to be confused with it actually being light but not as neck bending lay heavy.
