It's time to do something about the three strands of grey that seem to only appear right at the front of my head. If only they were tucked off to the side or in the back it wouldn't look like I was linty. Das mentioned purple when we were in the drug store so come Thursday I'll see if he's still down for that. 

This weekend is a holiday here. Last year there were invites all over the place to celebrate with folks this year it doesn't seem like anyone is doing anything sadly. I want an excuse to buy a bathing suit. 

I've been looking over my jewelry needs and man is it easy to overspend at a craft store. My defense is and will continue to be that I need it all! Who says a collar can't be a fashion accessory? Once I get it all set up and get my dresses I'm going to be all that and a bag of chips. Right now I'm just all that. 

Waiting for sleep to overtake me, I feel it oh so slowly creeping up. I guess I need to step up my memorization of prayers game. I would hate to start class in Aug/Sept and still only know 2 by heart. 

Wow I think I have rambling down to a science, probably a clue that I should remove myself from the computer and lay my sleepy but down. Maybe tomorrow's post will make sense.

Apperently the club isn't just an American thing.  I was just sitting chatting and minding my business when a flow of older black women walked by all saying hello and good to see you and see you later. The person I was speaking to asked me when I had met them and I laughed and told her that I had never seen any of them before. Das explained to her that this is a pretty common occurrence for me. He gets tickled whenever he witnesses it.  I guess some things aren't country specific.

Coffee

Last night we went to a coffee tasting. Now let it be known that I categorically do not like the taste of coffee but Das does so there you have it.  I drank tiny cup after tiny cup of heavily creamed/sugared coffee trying to discern roundness, smokey aftertones, citrus hints and whatnot. One cup tasted woodsie to me but that was about all I got and no one else knew what I was talking about so I'm going to have to say that my skills as a coffee taster are sorely lacking. It was a fun event though, lots of laughing and chatting about all types of stuff. In fact one might have suspected the coffee had been spiked with something alcoholic if one was simply observing the flushed cheeks and cheery demeanor of the participants. I got the opposite of buzzed though. Each cup brought me closer to falling over in my chair. By the time we left which really wasn't very late at all, I could barely be upright. Update Quickie

Christmas was good. We had a nice trip to the inlaws and we we got there the chocolate consumption was high. :) I'm rather amazed that I didn't gain more weight frankly because I always eat more there, I swear they put something in the food. We all exchanged presents and everyone seemed happy with what they got. I know I was. I got sparkly things and lotions, stuff I love. His mom is pretty perceptive because even though I always get girly things she never gives me nail polish which is good seeing as how I don't wear it. I am going to have a stellar collection of gloves though since I still have the ones from last year. Of course at this time of year there is no such thing as too many gloves. It snowed a few days, stayed sunny for Christmas and started sleeting the next morning. I'm glad we only made a day trip, driving home in that mess would have been horrible.
