It's been quite the day(s)
Yesterday there were blue plaid tights but I didn't get a picture, day before that blue/black paisley. I must say one of the best things about cold weather is the silly tights. They make me smile even when I feel like crap and it's all grey outside.
Today I'm rocking cordaroys because it's not only cold it's snowing and I had to be out at 9am driving to pick up Das' baby from the shop. We won't even discuss how I got turned around leaving the mechanics and was on my way somewhere but not home when I finally noticed nothing looked right. Luckily I was on the right street just the wrong direction so it wasn't too stressful to simply turn around and go back. I made it home in one piece and I got to rock the pop music. That was our second attempt. We went yesterday but after a few mishaps that I thought were cleared up so i left, I got a call halfway home to go back (through horrible traffic) b/c the car died. Luckily he wasn't hurt and the car made it back to the shop where the mechanic got it fixed up. I was in a frazzle after all that unexpected driving so what do I do... I go shopping, lol.
I needed to return a too small shirt to forever 21 and since they don't do cash refunds I decided to just find something I wanted in the store. I swear that store layout is enough to trigger a seizure in someone susceptible to them. If there is a rhyme or reason to how it's arranged I fail to grasp it. I spent most of my time trying to find the right departments for the stuff I liked. After much wandering followed by the dreaded trying on I walked away with 4 simple dresses. I'm a firm believer in stockpiling for the season off season while stuff is on sale. So I think I've had my fill of peopling for the next few days. I'm just gonna curl up with my Das and my kindle and relax, except for mass, we'll go to that too but then it's serious down time. :)
I did a app test to see if I'm tone deaf, it was just as I thought, I actually hear the differences very well. Now getting my voice to do what my brain knows it should be doing, there lies the rub. Luckily there are apps to help with that too. :) As long as I live far enough out not to disturb people with my singing I might as well work on improving it.
