Exploring the city

it's been a couple of crazy days, so much walking I am pretty sure my feet are going to curl up and fall plumb off any minute now. I'd almost forgotten just how much walking was involved in city living and Toronto is way bigger than SF. So many wonderful things to see though. We've been to Chinatown where we found the softest, plushest socks ever. In a jamaican store at Kensington Market I found a cute billed tam that actually has enough room to pile my hair into and explored several parks.

There are so many parks in this city. I've never encountered a city that was teeming with so much greenery before. The dogs love it and I must admit to being rather fond of it myself. Today we walked around Queen St West by CAMH, it was interesting to see what a mental health facility looks like here. The thing is huge, it has a mini park on the grounds, above and below ground parking, and all up and down the street are a variety of shops. It's well integrated into the neighborhood. I did see something on the side of one of it's buildings that cracked me up.

I'm not sure if that's a statement about the patients or the fact that the building was remodeled a few years ago, lol. Either way it got a giggle out of me.
