Balance, Structure and Plans

Planning is one of those things that keeps me sane. I've had to learn how to temper it however since Das is not a planner at all. He's a by the seat of his pants type so my tweaked version of being a planner is to have a plan but to not become overly attached to it. That however is easier said than done. Most of the time it actually goes rather well but sometimes I flounder when the plan I thought we had seems to be completely different from what is actually happening, although it's much worse when there seems to be no plan at all.

Floundering is not pleasant and I dislike the feeling of walking around clueless. Thinking about it it is a rather funny trait in a slave especially a slave to someone like Das.  Flexibility is the watchword of the day when dealing with him and rigidity will only get me lots of headaches. Balancing my need for a semblance of structure and his need to be unfettered is a delicate thing but doable. While I think I make more concessions by no means do I make them all which is one of the things that makes it all work. I'm thinking the idea of balance learned that balance is the same as 50/50 isn't really helpful in real life. Balance is what gets everyone where they want to go in ways that work for all involved.
