A new look

Finally! I decided to spend some time sprucing things up and am quite happy with how things are looking now. The blog feels much happier and not so sterile. I even added gadgets, woohoo go me. I did have some much needed help since I am notoriously technically impaired.  A bit of direction on how to navigate to the correct areas for picking themes and such but after that it was all me!

It's been a nice laid back weekend which I like. The biggest excitement was Das getting a new motorcycle which he's been wanting to do for a while. We picked it out thursday, turned in all the stuff friday, and brought it home saturday. This morning he went for a long ride not long after dawn which left him relaxed and in a good mood. Soon he's going to take me out and I can hardly wait. I have gotten very sensitive to heat so I'm thinking a morning ride or an evening one would be best. Luckily it will be cooling off soon so we will have more good riding weather.

I found a couple of cute skirts today. The maxi skirt trend has been driving me crazy as they do nothing for me.  I can wear a pencil skirt but I prefer a swishy skater skirt over that or a structured A line so finding two and one in basic black was great! I have visions of colored tights and ankle boots with loud sweaters in cold weather and tank tops and mary janes in warm weather. Or possibly even tennis shoes depending on what I'm doing.  Sadly there were no bras in my size at the store, I wasn't really expecting any more like hoping against hope. I'll have to order a couple and see how it goes. I do always seem to wear odd sizes in darn near everything.  Happily the goth mary janes I bought last year are starting to fit comfortably, so glad I didn't get rid of them as they are uber cute.

We were going to attend a party on Friday night so we came home and laid down for a power nap about 6 and woke up well after 11... needless to say we didn't make it to the party.  I think my body was saying I really needed to rest, so I listened.

Tomorrow school starts back and I get to have quiet for a few hours. I am looking forward to it.

I've been reading fantasy books for the last week and last night I had the funniest dream. I don't remember all the details but the broad strokes were that Das and I got married and he wrote both of our sets of vows and mine included things like obey, adore, and follow and his included things like discipline, cherish, protect, kill (others not me) and own. He presented me with a wrist cuff instead of a ring and I gave him a symbolic key on a necklace. It was somehow very medieval and yet modern. I came awake laughing because even dreams obviously influenced by the vast amount of love stories I'd been ingesting woven into my fantasy stories didn't take the gallant white knight turn. Even dream Das is still Das. lol.
